Katie Price is insisting her marriage to Alex Reid is legal and real. The glamour girl and her new cagefighter husband hit headlines this week after it was discovered that the minister who performed their Las Vegas quickie marriage isn't authorized to conduct marriages.

On February 2, the couple married in a private ceremony at the Wynn Hotel chapel in the Sin City. However, earlier this week, it has been learned that Rev. Mose Henney, the one who performed the ceremony and signed their marriage contract, was suspended three years ago following "inappropriate sexual" conduct with female churchgoers.

The reports make sense since their marriage appeared to have been pulled off for Price's reality show. No pre-nuptial contract was mentioned, which is unlikely for Price, who is estimated to be worth around $60 million.

But the new Mrs. Reid insists that her marriage was legal, basing it on the hotel's claim that Henney is legally authorized to perform marriages.

A statement from the couple's rep was obtained by Johnny Ikon as saying, "Following the revelations in the press over the past couple of days regarding the validity of Katie and Alex's wedding, we would like to state that the marriage is 100% legitimate and legal."

"The Wynn, where they married, and the Office of the County Clerk Marriage Services Division, have both confirmed that Reverend Mose Henney, who conducted the wedding ceremony, is legally authorized to perform marriage ceremonies."
