Kirstie Alley Denying That Her Weight-Loss Program Has Ties To Scientology

March 16, 2010 Kirstie Alley

Alley was on "The Today" promoting her new A&E reality show, "The Big Life," when host Meredith Vieria asked her if Scientology was linked to her new diet program.  Rumors are circulating that the Church of Scientology, which Alley belongs to has somewhat of an influence over the program as the business address is similar to that of Scientology's main headquarters in Florida.

The former "Cheers" actress gave NBC's censors a run for their money when she replied: "It such bulls***.  It's not true.  I'm the top executive.  The address in Clearwater is my accountant, and he's a Scientology Jew.  I don't know what to say to it."

Alley then went on to deny that Scientology gets a cut of her profits by saying, "No they don't.  I'm way too cheap to do that."

Members of Alley's Organic Liason program pay between \$10 and \$149 per month to follow the weight-loss program, which includes an organic food diet along with vitamins and supplements.
