Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - Kobe Bryant has gotten plenty of flack over the use of an anti-gay slur during an NBA game. Along with working with gay-friendly organizations, he's now preaching tolerance in a new public service announcement.

Bryant, along with other members of the L.A. Lakers, are featured in a new video which aired on Good Day L.A. and was obtained by TMZ. In the video, Bryant says to replace hurtful words with compassionate ones.

"There are all kinds of different people in the world. That's what makes the world special," Kobe says.

"So whether someone is different than you in race, ethnicity, political beliefs, religion or sexual orientation," Bryant and his teammates continue, "Words could be hurtful."

"Replace them with understanding, compassion and acceptance," Bryant says. "Let's make this a better world for all of us."

Bryant made headlines for calling a ref a "f---ing f---ot" during a game last week but has since apologized to the Human Rights Campaign, GLAAD, and to the NBA.
