Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott gets engaged

July 6, 2011 Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Hillary Scott

Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) - Lady Antebellum have earned huge hits with romance-driven songs such as "Need You Now" and "Just a Kiss." Now, frontwoman Hillary Scott has gotten engaged to the inspiration behind some of those love songs.

Scott, 25, announced that drummer Chris Tyrell, 24, proposed to her over the 4th of July weekend. Of course, she said yes.

"Chris proposed exactly the way I've always dreamed," Hillary Scott told People. "Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee."

"We had just been on a hike and - in our workout clothes - he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!" she added.

A date for the wedding hasn't been set just yet. Lady Antebellum are busy with their own summer tour, and Tyrell is currently on Brad Paisley's H20 II tour.

Scott and Tyrell first met during Tim McGraw's tour in early 2010 where they were both opening acts. They have been dating ever since.
