A Beatles poster has been sold for $52,500 at an auction. The Sgt. Pepper souvenir picture was among the 300 items sold at a pop memorabilia auction in Christie's in New York.

The 1967 poster, which bears the signature of the Fab Four, came from the Beatles Fan Club of Great Britain, according to BBC.

Christie's said they were able to fetch more than $650,000 from the items, around 70 percent of which were sold.

Among the items included were a bass guitar owned by the late Kurt Cobain, which was sold for $43,750; "Edward Scissorhands" film key prop, sold for $16,250; Bob Crane's leather jacket from the '60s series "Hogan's Heroes," fetched $40,000; and "The Godfather" script signed by Marlon Brando, which was sold for $10,625.

Christie's head of popular culture Simeon Lipman told BBC, "Even in an unstable economy, you'll see peaks for certain prices."
