Hollywood couple Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard have both joined the cast of an off-Broadway stage production of "Uncle Vanya." The duo - who have a 2-year-old daughter named Ramona together - are prepping up for the Anton Chekhov play with Tony Award winner Denis O'Hare as the titular character. The story revolves around the eponymous Uncle Vanya, a typical superfluous man who wakes up one morning to discover he has wasted his life in the service of others. The play was first performed at the Moscow Art Theater in 1899, as per Broadway.com. "Uncle Vanya" will begin previews on January 17 at the Classic Stage Company until March 1. |
