Life Magazine To Release Michael Jackson Special Edition

Life magazine is releasing a special issue featuring the life of King of Pop in photos. The editors have put together never-before-seen photographs of the Michael Jackson for the most intimate portfolio in the commemorative edition of the weekly news magazine.

The photos reveal some legendary moments of the singer, including those captured in pictures by John Olson. The cover image features Jackson in one of his most iconic dance poses.

President Andy Blau said, "In the week following Jackson's death, LIFE.com produced a number of galleries covering all aspects of the performer's incredible career. The popularity of these galleries speaks volumes about the devotion of fans for the King of Pop and the great desire to see and know more."

The magazine includes many of the powerful images that had helped Jackson become an icon and a legend. It will also feature rare images that will give readers glimpse into his private life.
