Lil Wayne Sentenced To Probation In AZ While Serving Prison Stint In NY

Lil Wayne has been sentenced in Arizona while still serving a prison stint in New York. The hip-hop star, who is currently staying in Rikers Island prison for a year, was ordered to three years probation for a charge relating to a drug bust in 2008.

Wayne, 27, was arrested when police found drugs on his tour bus. In exchange for his plea deal, an Arizona judge ordered him to serve 36 months of probation, which will commence once he is released from prison, according to TMZ.

Last March, he was sentenced to a year in prison over an entirely different case.

He was arrested in New York in July 2007 after a gig. Police discovered him smoking marijuana near a tour bus. A gun was also discovered on his person after he was taken into custody.
