Lily Allen Hospitalized For Blood Poisoning

British singer Lily Allen has been hit with more bad news. "The Fear" hitmaker has been hospitalized for blood poisoning just days after she lost her unborn child.

Allen, 25, was taken to the hospital by ambulance Saturday, but is now recuperating at her home in Gloucestershire.

She was diagnosed with the potentially lethal blood-poisoning condition septicemia, a bacterial infection of the blood.

Her rep told the Daily Mail, "Lily Allen is back in the hospital, where she is being treated for septicemia. She is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve."

"Lily thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone whilst the recovers."

Earlier this month, Allen, who was six months pregnant, lost her son with boyfriend Sam Cooper after suffering a miscarriage. It was her second miscarriage, the first one was in 2008 when she was pregnant with Ed Simon's child.
