Lindsay Lohan Boasts Saving Over 40 Kids In India

December 10, 2009

Lindsay Lohan has saved over 40 children in just five hours. The starlet has boasted her philanthropic efforts in India on Twitter, saying doing charity works is a "life worth living."

The 23-year-old "Mean Girls" actress arrived in the South Asian nation on Wednesday to take part of the BBC Three project on human trafficking.

Just after five hours of twittering Jessica Alba's husband, Cash Warren, that she has arrived in the country, she wrote, "Over 40 children saved so far…… Within one day's work…… This is what life is about….. Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!"

How she was able to do that was anyone's guess.

Lohan also said that "Focusing on celebrities and lies is so disconcerting, when we can be changing the world one child at a time….hope everyone can see that."

Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed said that it was wonderful that the singer/actress was taking up what appeared to be a noble cause as long as she did it as a selfless act of service without expecting any reward.
