Lindsay Lohan escapes jail time

Lindsay Lohan's last minute court appearance is court saved her a big deal as she managed to escape jail time.

The actress who took a last minute plane from New York to Los Angeles to attend court and arrived 5 minutes late to the hearing.

Lindsay's new lawyer Mark Heller said that despite being unwell,the actress decided to appear in court because she has a lot of respect for the court.Heller still insisted that the Dick&Liz actress had an upper respiratory infection,but the judge did not buy in his explanations.

Lindsay's lawyer explained that his client had a cold like illness and while trying to digress,the judge cut him off saying "Flattery does not get you anywhere in this court".

Lindsay faces three charges which include lying to the police,reckless driving and obstruction of the police while they investigating a car crush last year.

The next hearing for this case is March 1 and March 18,in case the case goes to trial.The troubled actress may not be present for the hearing on 1,but must be there on 18th.

Lindsay looked exhausted and had her mother Dina by her side.She was dressed in a black dress and spotted a new tattoo.Earlier,reports had emerged that the pair failed to get a place to stay and are reported to have been turned away from two from two hotels before they got a suite at Beverly Hills hotel.

In other Lohan news,Lindsay today got a little brother!Lindsay's dad,Michael Lohan and his fiance Kate Major welcomed a baby boy Landon Major Lohan. Michael received many congratulation messages including one from his ex-wife Dina!
