Lindsay Lohan might be charged for obstruction of justice

She is reported to have lied to the police about the accident that happened on June 8, where her Porsche rear-ended an 18-wheeler on a coastal highway near Los Angeles.

In her statement to the police Lindsay said that she was not the driver when the accident happened and that she had a male companion in the car. The witness has however not come forward to back statement forcing her to make further claims that the accident happened because she was cut off by the semi-truck and when she tried to stop her rented car, the brakes failed.

TMZ reports that the case is going to be filed as a misdemeanor this week by Santa .com/celebs/monica'>Monica City Attorney.

Just weeks after LiLo was accused of having stolen clothes on the set of Scary Movie 5, she could be in some real trouble because she is still on probation for the 2011 jewelry theft, so her obstruction of justice could be treated as a probation violation.

Too bad for Lindsay because the truck driver gave a statement saying she had tried to bribe him after the collision happened. He hired a lawyer to take the matter to court claiming that he was injured in the accident.

Lohan’s then representative Steve Honig denied the bribe claims saying “ It seems to me that once he realized he wasn’t going to get anything from Lindsay he decided to get cash by telling tales to the tabloids. I hope he got whatever money he was looking for “.
