Madonna Bans Support Acts From Speaking To Her During Her Tour

October 10, 2008

Madonna has reportedly banned her support acts from speaking to her. The "4 Minutes" singer - who is currently on her "Sticky and Sweet" world tour - is said to be refusing to socialize with artists who open her show.

"Every Heartbeat" singer Robyn, who performed before Madonna on the tour's European leg, revealed she and the show's crew were under strict orders not to approach the pop icon, speak to her or ask for autographs and pictures.

Robyn is quoted as saying: "I hadn't expected any glamour, but it's strange that they assume that the first thing you're going to do is run after Madonna and ask for an autograph."

Robyn also revealed that despite sharing a stage with Madonna she hasn't even met the 50-year-old superstar, and can't imagine following in her footsteps.

She added to a Swedish newspaper: "My worst nightmare would be to turn into a Madonna because of her constant chasing of the latest trends. As an artist I do not want to be someone who does not feel safe in the creative process."
