London, United Kingdom (AHN Entertainment) - Longtime Kabbalah believer Madonna has reportedly ditched her faith for another controversial religion. The pop superstar apparently had a falling out with Kabbalah leaders over her failed Malawi organization, and has now turned to Opus Dei. According to U.K.'s The Mirror, Madonna, an ardent follower of Kabbalah for 15 years, had a falling out with some leaders of the organization after reports that the cash she raised for her Malawi charity was squandered. The 52-year-old singer reportedly left Kabbalah and has taken up with Opus Dei, the controversial Catholic sect that takes center story in the fictional book "The Da Vinci Code," after being intrigued by the organization and spending Friday with the priests from its London headquarters. A source told the paper, "She has invested so much into Kabbalah so she was devastated y these damning accusations. She has started exploring different religions. Madonna has always been intrigued by Opus Dei. As yet, she's not a fully paid-up member - she's just had informal chats." It is yet to be seen if Madonna has formally quit Kabbalah and will sign up with Opus Dei. |
