Madonna's Husband Lost His Sex Drive While On Cookie Diet

April 15, 2008

Madonna has revealed her husband Guy Ritchie lost his sex drive while he was on a cookie diet.

The pop superstar - who pays tribute to her "incredible" love-life with Guy on her forthcoming album 'Hard Candy' - was not happy when the British director's libido took a nose-dive after he substituted breakfast and lunch for low-calorie biscuits.

She said: "My husband went on that cookie diet and it was such a turn-off because he didn't want to have sex. He's not on it anymore, thank god!"

Despite her complaints about the side effects, Madonna admits the 800 calorie-a-day diet - which also counts Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson among its followers - was a success.

The 49-year-old singer added: "He did lose weight but he didn't really need to lose that much weight. I think he did it because all his friends were doing it and he wanted to see if he could do it."

Madonna - who has previously quashed rumors her seven-year marriage to Guy is on the rocks - recently insisted the couple have a very healthy sex life.

When asked if the line "Sex with you is incredible" on her song 'Incredible' was a direct reference to Guy, she exclaimed: "Absolutely! Sex with Guy is incredible and surprise, surprise, it's his favourite song on the album. Actually, maybe it's not his favorite song but it's definitely his favorite line."
