Dancing stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff are set to tie the knot as the couple announces their engagement to the world. Maksim popped the question in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve. The couple rang in the New year at the Wynn Hotel where Maksim is said to have made it official. Maksim and Karina have been dating since the summer and have been a couple for less than six months. The couple is currently performing on the "Dancing with the Stars" winter tour. The tour wraps up in mid-February. Smirnoff had been in a two year relationship with Mario Lopez, her dancing partner, that ended in heartbreak this past June. Smirnoff told People magazine in June that the relationship wasn't "going in the right direction." Chmerkovskiy and Smirnoff are set to return to "Dancing with the Stars" in March. The eighth season kicks off on March 9 on ABC. |
