Mandy Moore And Ryan Adams Tie The Knot

Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have gotten married in secret. The "Candy" singer and the alternative rocker - who got engaged last month - tied the knot in a simple ceremony in Savannah, Georgia on Tuesday.

Mandy, 24, and Ryan, 34, applied for a marriage license at the Chatham County Probate office in the early afternoon.

A court source said the couple seemed to go "unrecognized" and were not disturbed by onlookers or any photographers.

When the pair got engaged in February, Mandy insisted she would tie the knot without a fuss.

She said: "I want the wedding to be less of a big deal. Hopefully, it can happen and slip by unnoticed by everybody."

"I guess we have to be sort of sneaky about it, but I'll see what I can accomplish."

The newlywed was also keen to have a plain, simple dress. She said: "I'm not the kind of girl that obsesses over her wedding day. I kind of feel like, because I've been able to get married in a few films, I kind of got the whole giant wedding fuss out of my system."

The couple have been together since March 2008 but briefly split in July because Ryan couldn't cope with Mandy's high-profile lifestyle.

He said at the time: "Mandy is one of those genuinely sweet angelic people you wish to meet your whole life."

"Unfortunately, I am allergic to paparazzi and have found the best antidote to that sort of nonsense is staying behind the guitar and typewriter."
