Maria Shriver, children comment on Arnold Schwarzenegger's paternity revelation

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - Maria Shriver and two of her children have broken their silence following the news that her now estranged husband of 25 years fathered a child with a household employee 10 years ago. Shriver's concerns, she says, are for the privacy of the children.

"This is a painful and heartbreaking time," said Shriver. "As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment."

Schwarzenegger and Shriver had four children together, ages 13, 17, 19 and 21. While Both Arnold and Maria Shriver asked for their privacy in their statements, two of the children have already spoken out following the news.

17-year-old Patrick Schwarzenegger took to Twitter to reveal his feelings on the ordeal, while 21-year-old Katharine also shared similar sentiments. They both are sticking by their family.

"Some days you feel like s--t, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit, yet I love my family till death do us apart," Patrick Schwarzenegger wrote.

"This is definitely not easy but I appreciate your love and support as i begin to heal and move forward in life," Katherine Schwarzenegger wrote. "I will always love my family."

Schwarzenegger and Shriver announced their separation last week after 25 years of marriage. She reportedly moved out of their Brentwood mansion following news of the paternity.
