Martin Lawrence wed his longtime girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs on Saturday. The 45-year-old "Bad Boys" star and his 35-year-old love exchanged I Do's in front of 120 guests at his Beverly Hills home's backyard. According to People, the couple joined their guests under a tent for the family-style reception. Their daughters Amara and Iyana, and Lawrence's daughter from a previous marriage, Jasmine, were flower girls. Pals Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington were also in attendance. A source told the magazine, "They wanted an intimate celebration. This wedding was all about family." Saturday seemed like a great day to wed. "American Idol" champ Carrie Underwood, "Devil Wears Prada" star Emily Blunt, and former "Total Request Live" co-host La La Vasquez also tied the knot on the same day. Underwood married Ottawa Senators player Mike Fisher, Blunt wed "The Office" actor John Krasinski, and Vasquez said "I Do" to NBA star Carmelo Anthony. |
