Miley Cyrus certainly won’t miss an opportunity to take the stage and carry out her usual antics.

Which is why, when a government run group barred her from performing in the capital city of Santo Domingo, the 21 year old is taking a stand for herself.

The concert was supposed to be her first concert in the country.

A source reveals, the singer’s tour promoter has filed a legal challenge in the country, to unban her. According to the filing, the ban on artistic expression is unconstitutional.

Our insider also revealed, "Miley wants to defend artistic expression for all artists."

The Dominican Republic's national entertainment and radio commission (CNEPR) said that they had banned the Wrecking Ball singer because he performs "acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law.”

A poll conducted in the city showed that 64 percent of the participants (of the poll) agreed with the ban.

Looks like the repercussions of her antics have finally caught on!
