Morgan Freeman Feels "Real Good" After Being Released From The Hospital

August 8, 2008

Morgan Freeman says he feels "real good" after being released from hospital yesterday. The Oscar-winning actor - who was hospitalized following a serious car crash last weekend - insists he is on the mend after being treated for a broken arm, broken elbow and shoulder damage.

He told TV show "Entertainment Tonight": "I left the hospital just after 12 noon, Memphis time. I'm doing very well. I feel real good. I just really, I thank the staff at Elvis Presley medical facility and many, many thanks to my many well-wishers. It's great to know people care about you."

The 71-year-old actor underwent surgery at the hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, to repair the damage to his left arm and shoulder caused by the crash.

Earlier this week, it was confirmed Morgan is divorcing Myrna Colley-Lee, his wife of 24 years. In a statement, Morgan's business partner Bill Luckett said: "They are involved in a divorce action. For legal and practical purposes, they have been separated since December of 2007."

Morgan and Myrna have two children together. Morgan also has two other children from previous relationships.
