The cast of MTV's "Jersey Shore" knows the value of their fist-pumping antics. They're negotiating the terms of their deal for the show's second season, which could give MTV's resident guidos and guidettes a heftier payday, or could leave them high and dry.

TMZ reports that MTV has already upped their offer of \$5,000 an episode and a \$10,000 signing bonus to \$10,000 an episode. For twelve episodes planned for the new season, that's over \$120,000 for a few weeks of "work."

But the cast has reportedly yet to respond to the latest offer after rejecting the first. They must respond to MTV by the end of the business day or else MTV will look for new overly tanned and gelled talent.

TMZ says MTV has no problem making replacements, and has made it clear it doesn't have to be a package deal for the cast which includes Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

Along with earning thousands for making appearances at parties and clubs, before MTV came calling, Snooki was an aspiring vet technician, DJ Pauly D would DJ at clubs and parties, The Situation had a short stint as an exotic dancer before becoming assistant manager at a Staten Island fitness center.
