Counting Crows has extended their upcoming schedule of the summer tour. The band's tour began on May 7 in Belfast and has a mix of headlining and festival appearances throughout the summer months.

According to Live Daily, the new dates of the tour include a June 26th performace in Milwaukee and extend through the first week of September. The tour follows the group's current U.K. and Ireland tour.

The Berkley, California based band is promoting their latest album "Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings," which marked their first new studio release since 2002's "Hard Candy." The set has given three singles, including the latest, "When I Dream of Michelangelo."

They also released "Live from SoHo" that was recorded on March 27, last year at an in-store performance in the SoHo Apple Store in New York City. The album was an iTunes exclusive.

The band recently announced a departure from Geffen Records, who they had worked with for 18 years.

The new tour dates are as follows:

June 2009

July 2009

August 2009

September 2009
