Country Star Gretchen Wilson Joins Farm Aid 2009 Line-Up

Farm Aid 2009 has added country star Gretchen Wilson to the concert's all-star line-up that will be held in St. Louis in October.

Wilson will join other performers at the food and music festival on Sunday, October 4 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. The long list of performers includes Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews performing with Tim Reynolds, Jason Mraz, Wilco, Jamey Johnson, Phosphorescent, Billy Joe Shaver, Will Dailey, Ernie Isley & the Jam Band, Ryan Bingham & the Dead Horses, The Blackwood Quartet, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, and Titty Bingo.

Fans can also catch the show on DIRECTTV, which will broadcast the show live and in HD on The 101 Network beginning at 5:00 pm ET. DIRECTV will also be matching all of its customers donations up to $50,000 made between September 1 and October 31.

The mission of Farm Aid is to build a vibrant, family farm-centered system of agriculture in the United States. The concert is held annually to help raise funds to support Farm Aid's work with family members and to inspire people to choose family-farmed food. It was formed in 1985 and has since raised nearly $36 million.

The festival will also be streaming live on a webcast at www.farmaid.org starting at 5:00 pm ET. Tickets for the festival are available through www.livenation.com.
