UPDATE: This story corrects Finch's place in the origins of the band.

A former member of the popular 70s funk and disco group KC and the Sunshine Band was indicted Monday on more than a dozen counts of sexual activities with boys under the age of 18.

According to reports, Richard Finch participated in sexual activities with seven teenage boys, including offering them cash for sexual gratification.

The 56-year-old was indicted on nine counts of propositioning sex; two counts of importuning; three counts of compelling prostitution and one count of illegal sexual activity with a minor.

Finch was arrested last month when a 17-year-old boy reported to authorities that Finch had sexual encounters with him at his home.

Finch was indicted by a Licking County grand jury, and was jailed in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Finch is a seven-time Grammy winner. He is a resident of Newark, OH.

In an earlier story, Finch was identified as a founding member of the band.
