Jordin Sparks Joins "The Circus Starring Britney Spears"

"Idol" winner and hit-maker Jordin Sparks is jumping from one huge tour to the next. After supporting the Jonas Brothers on their current world tour, Sparks will join "The Circus starring Britney Spears."

Sparks, who is currently promoting her latest album "Battlefield," will the start the Spears tour circuit August 24th at the Madison Square Garden shows in New York. She wraps up her dates September 27th in Las Vegas.

Sparks is quietly replacing the formerly announced opener, R&B singer Ciara. No reason was given for Ciara's exit from the tour. Sparks joins another opener, newcomer Kristinia DeBarge, who earned a radio hit with her debut single "Goodbye."

"Britney's show is incredible and for me to be a part of it is a great opportunity," said Sparks.

Spears is on the second leg of her North American tour, which began March 3rd in New Orleans, LA. It's since hit markets like Paris, London, and Moscow.
