Korn Reveals Details Of New Album

American nu metal band Korn is recording a new album, band's bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu has revealed. The follow-up to 2007's "Untitled" could be out "within the year."

The band from Bakersfield, California reveals that they are also working on the cover art of the album and have recorded "a bunch of songs." The band's ninth effort will be produced by Ross Robinson, who also worked on their first two albums.

"It's gonna be very raw, it's gonna be old school like the first Korn records," Korn frontman Jonathan Davis revealed to The Pulse of Radio some time back adding that many of the lyrics on the upcoming album will deal with the topic of organized religion.

The metal quartet is also scheduled to hit the road with Orange County rock band Avenged Sevenfold on Saturday in Tucson, Arizona.

"We're just going to take a little break now (from recording) and come back fresh," Fieldy tells Billboard.

"We've been home for over a year now. We really want to get out on stage. We put together a set of a lot of Korn classic songs; I'm excited to play some of these songs we haven't played in years," he added.
