Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) - Lady Gaga isn't much of an outfit repeater, especially when the dress came from a butcher. Her headline-grabbing meat dress is headed to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Yes, the infamous outfit at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, which reportedly stunk up the place, has been preserved in a meat locker before heading to the Cleveland museum.

Her outfit is part of the new exhibit, "Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power," which features much less edible items from female music stars such as Madonna, Cher, and Joan Jett.

"The dress was kept in a meat locker until the treatment was ready to begin," the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame said in a statement. "It was then placed in a vat of chemicals and, while still pliable, was put on a body form and allowed to dry."

It was also reportedly painted to look like still-fresh meat. Let's hope the dress she wore to accept the Video of the Year award for "Bad Romance" doesn't go bad.

Meanwhile, Gaga keeps earning hits with some of the prime cuts off her new album "Born This Way." Her latest single, "The Edge of Glory," premieres its music video on "So You Think You Can Dance" Thursday night.
