Nelly Furtado Continues "Countdown To" Spanish Album Release

Nelly Furtado is preparing to release her first Spanish language album and the countdown to its release continues with a special iTunes promotion. Nelly Furtado's "iTunes Countdown To" has released three tracks so far with one more on the way before the albums September 15th release.

Furtado just released the title track from the upcoming album, "Mi Plan," to iTunes. Featuring Alex Cuba, the single is the third Furtado track to release at the digital outlet in recent weeks. She also released "Mas" in July and "Manos Al Aire."

She'll also release one more song before the album's release. "Bajo Otra Luz," which features Julieta Venegas and La Mala Rodriguez, will be available on September 1st.

The "iTunes Countdown To" promotion proved successful for Taylor Swift, who did the same with her hit album "Fearless." "Mi Plan" is Nelly Furtado's first album since 2007's "Loose." She's also working on the English-language follow-up which is due for release next year.
