Quentin Tarantino To Air Personal Music Playlist On Sirius XM

August 21, 2009 09:53 am CDT

Academy Award winning filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is set share with radio listeners his personal music playlist on SIRIUS XM during a special airing on August 21, Friday.

The "Inglourious Basterds" mastermind has created an eclectic playlist for the listeners. The show, which he will host himself, will showcase songs from David Bowie, Jay-Z, Andy Kim, Britney Spears, Barbra Streisand and KT Tunstall.

He said the tracks in the list are some of the music he was listening to while making the upcoming WWII-themed film.

"Now these songs don't necessarily have a damn thing to do with the movie. These were some of the ones I was listening to in my off time."

The special is scheduled to debut on Little Steven's Underground Garage, SIRIUS channel 25 and XM channel 59 at 3 p.m. ET on Friday.

"Inglourious Basterds" will be released in theaters on Saturday. Brad Pitt leads the ensemble cast, which includes Eli Roth, B.K. Novak, Mike Myers, Cloris Leachman, Christoph Waltz, Diane Kruger, and Julie Dreyfus.
