Scottish Rock Band Simple Minds Announce Dates For "Graffiti Soul" World Tour

Scotland rockers Simple Minds have announced dates for the U.K. leg of their new world tour, "Graffiti Soul," in support of the band's 15th studio album by the same name.

The 90s band will perform seven shows, kicking off in Newcastle on November 30 and concluding in Glasgow on December 11. The trek stops include Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Cardiff, London and Belfast.

Support for the gigs will be provided by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark.

Writing on the group's website, Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr commented, "I am honestly ecstatic with the possibilities that will come with the tour. The old songs sound stronger than ever, and the new ones will be absolute killer."

The band's forthcoming highly anticipated studio album "Graffiti Soul" is scheduled for a May 25 release. The band has confirmed "Rockets" as the first single that will be released by Universal Music on May 18.
