Shakira Wants To Get Closer To Fans On New Tour

Shakira wants to get closer to her fans. The Colombian superstar is currently working on her upcoming tour and is developing ways to get more "interactive."

For her "Tour of Earthly Delights," Shakira is working on bringing her recent hits like "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," "Gypsy," and "She Wolf" to the stage. But she's also reportedly working on bringing some of her fans on stage as well.

"It's going to have themes and there'll be a lot of audience interaction. My live show will have a lot of that - a lot of dancing, a joie de vivre," she told ContactMusic.

Fans could possibly get closer to Shakira than ever, although she's no stranger to getting into the crowd. On her last tour, she joined the fans in a sing-along of her hit "Hips Don't Lie."

"I feel such freedom on stage. It's such a rush to be performing. I like to see everybody's faces on stage, to see the reaction," she said. "Normally, you can only see the front row because of the lights.

"So you'll see a lot of energy, but there are also going to be other moments that I hope are artistically energetic," Shakira continued. "I want people to feel things up close."

Shakira's world tour kicks off September 17th in Uncasville, CT. It's slated to continue on through December 20th in London.
