TLC's Rozonda "Chili" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins could be returning to the music scene with a brand new album. They're currently in early preparations about a new album, which would be their first since 2002's "3D."

The duo recently spoke with MTV at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, where they recently performed at a Justin Timberlake & Friends benefit concert. There they performed hits like "Creep," "Waterfalls," and "No Scrubs." There they said the music scene is in need of their lyrical content.

"It's needed," said Chili. "Today, I think you just listen to the radio sometimes and it's like the beats are hot, but the lyrics aren't there. I think that inspires us to go back in and come up with songs that change people's live for the better."

This year, TLC performed a string of dates in Japan, their first tour dates since the passing of member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in 2002. Their appearance at at Timberlake's benefit concert was their first stateside performance since the 2008 BET Awards.

"Put it like this," said T-Boz. "You will see us. We're not going anywhere."
