Music Producer Mark Ronson To Quit London For New York After Splitting From Daisy Lowe

September 18, 2008

Mark Ronson is quitting London for New York after his split from Daisy Lowe. The British-born music producer is throwing himself into his hectic work schedule and moving back to the U.S. - where he grew up - in the wake of his split from the 19-year-old model.

Speaking to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, Mark, 33, said: "I'm just in London for a little while for work and then I'm going to be living in New York. I'm doing my own thing at the moment and just getting on with things really.

"I'm in the recording studio producing Daniel Merriweather's first album, he's sounding great. I'm also working round the clock with The Rumble Strips. I'm just keeping really busy."

Mark and Daisy's split was revealed earlier this week with the end of the couple's six-month romance being blamed on the 14-year age gap between them.

According to friends, Mark was keen for the couple to settle down, whereas Daisy wants to party.

A friend said of the split: "Daisy is a girl about town just finding her feet on the party scene. She is still a teenager and although she's got a wise head on her shoulders, she's still a very young woman."

Whereas Mark says he's had no time for partying since his break up, admitting: "I've hardly been out. I only went to Amy Winehouse's birthday party the other night but she didn't turn up."
