Naomi Campbell Emotionally Explains Infamous Outbursts

Naomi Campbell has a teary explanation of her fiery temper. The supermodel insists she does not have an excuse for her past outbursts but she blames editing on her recent tantrum.

In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey on her daytime talk show, the 39-year-old British model, who has a history of lashing out and physically attacking her staff, tearfully insisted that she is not a "petulant diva" who lost control when she doesn't get what she wants, but she blames abandonment issue on her diva-ish tantrums.

She said, "I think it comes from a deeper place than that with me. It comes from another type of emotional disorder because it's not just, if I don't get what I want I throw a fit… It comes from, I think, an abandonment issue and it comes from also trying to just build up a family around me that's not my immediate family and if I feel a mistrust then… all my cards go down."

"I think it's also a fear issue because anger comes from fear. It's not an excuse. I don't have an excuse for my behavior."

However, she has another explanation on her recent outburst, in which she punched a camera after she walked out of an interview with ABC News regarding the blood diamond she allegedly received from former Liberia president Charles Taylor.

She told Oprah that the producers made it much worse than it actually was, saying, "There definitely is sound effect [added]."

Campbell also insisted she did not punch the camera, but ABC made it appear that she did, saying "There were three cameras, and I went to walk out the door, and the other one came in the way. So I moved the first one out to get to the door, and there were two more."

Believe her or not, the catwalk beauty said she feels "remorseful" after an outburst.

She said, "I feel remorseful. I feel ashamed. I feel for them. [I think] 'What have I done to them?'"
