However, Nick Cannon, Mariah's husband, says that AI can't probably afford her wife's paycheck. He even stated that if Idol paid JLo $20 million, then they'd have to double that in order to get Mariah on board.

Mariah is certainly one of the biggest names up for the position. But will Idol make a move? Looks like we'll have to find out if Mr. Carey is indeed true about the matter.
