She reportedly hung up the phone on some execs when she heard the news. She was expecting to be the only female judge on the next season of AI. Choosing Nicki over her would definitely leave her pissed because aside from the fact that she was a top candidate, Nicki is also years younger than Mariah.

Nicki is 29 while Mariah is 42.
