Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - After being arrested on charges of domestic violence and disturbing the peace, Nicolas Cage will not be charged with a crime, his defense attorney revealed in a statement.

"The New Orleans District Attorney has confirmed that no charges of any kind will be pursued against Nicolas Cage," said his defense attorney Harry Rosenberg.

While in town filming the movie "Medallion," Cage was accused of grabbing his wife violently and making a scene while intoxicated at a local New Orleans tattoo shop. There, Cage was overheard saying that he didn't know where he lived.

The New Orleans District Attorney's Office reportedly did not have sufficient evidence to charge Cage with the crime.

"After the investigation, the District Attorney's Office refused all charges against Nick and this matter has been closed," Rosenberg continued.

"We are pleased that the process led to the correct result, despite the inaccurate media reports, and that Nick has been cleared and all charges have been dropped," he said.
