Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban welcome new baby

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were all smiles on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards - but it could have been for another reason.

The two have announced Monday they are new parents of a baby girl, reports People magazine.

"Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret," the family said in a statement to People. "No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier."

Faith Margaret Kidman Urban was born on December 28 at a hospital in Nashville. The bundle of joy is the second daughter to their family, born through a surrogate mother.

The Hollywood actress and country singer, who married in 2006, were tight lipped about the news at Sunday's award show.

Kidman gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose in July 2008. The actress also has two adopted children, Isabella and Conner, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
