Oasis star Liam Gallagher wears make-up and dyes his hair. Liam's brother Noel has lifted the lid on the singer's secret attempts to beat the ageing process.

Noel, 41, said: "Liam's been dyeing his hair for a while. And he wears make-up. Seriously. I've seen him in eyeliner at parties, looking like something from 'A Clockwork Orange.'"

"I think he's trying to head off old age, but it it'll catch him. If I'm being honest, everyone would like to be 20 years younger, but you've got to be comfortable with it."

He added: "Turning 40 doesn't bother me, as I've always felt older than I am. I've never traded on my good looks like Liam has."

Noel also talked about his recovery from three broken and bruised ribs sustained at a show last month in Toronto, Canada, after a crazed fan attacked him.

Oasis had to cancel three shows as a result of the incident, but kick off their U.K. tour in Liverpool next week.

He said: "The painkillers have left me feeling a bit brain dead. Sometimes I drift off and I don't know what I'm talking about."

"Liam got all brave once the security guards turned up. I got taken straight to hospital."

Noel is not likely to be worried about any repeat attacks when he goes back on the road as British champion boxer Ricky Hatton will act as his minder at the Liverpool show.
