Pamela Anderson Calls Janet Jackson Greedy For Advocating Fur

Outspoken animal rights activist Pamela Anderson thinks Janet Jackson is greedy. The former "Baywatch" star lashes out at the music icon for signing on to be a fur company's newest model.

Jackson was recently announced as the newest face of its decades-old campaign "What Becomes a Legend Most?" The black-and-white ad features the multi-award-winning actress/singer wearing a black fur coat.

Not only did People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals react harshly to her new role, PETA's most active celebrity member is also speaking out against Jackson.

Anderson told Out magazine, "It's disappointing. She has spoken out against fur before. I don't know why some people stop listening to their heart. I guess some people get greedy, but it's sad."

PETA berated Jackson for embracing fur when she had previously shunned it.

Senior VP Dan Matthews wrote to Jackson in a letter acquired by Black Voices: "You told me that you were always aggravated at photo shoots when stylists would try to throw fur on you and that you were even wary of wearing fake fur out of concern that it might actually be real or look real in photos and send the wrong message."

"You were very straightforward and sensible about it. What happened?"
