Pete Wentz Receiving Fatherhood Advice From Joe Simpson

Pete Wentz has been taking fatherhood advice from his dad and father-in-law. The Fall Out Boy rocker and new wife Ashlee Simpson are expecting their first child together and Pete has been talking to Joe Simpson and his pop Pete to make sure he is fully prepared for the arrival.

He told OK! magazine: "I'm reading all the books. The best one I've read so far is 'The Expectant Father'.

"I'm talking to my dad a lot. I'm talking to Ashlee's dad a lot. We hang out with other people who have kids. You see the world in a different way. It's exciting."

The bassist also spoke about his friends' response to the pregnancy.

He added: "My friends are all really excited for me."

"Our drummer Andy Hurley was the first to respond to anything. I sent out the email for my wedding and Andy responded seven minutes later like, 'I'll be there and these are the sizes of my clothes.'"

Pete recently revealed impending fatherhood was making him adopt the habits of his own father, also called Pete.

He said: "I'm becoming my dad, actually! I get up at 7am to drive to work down Sunset Boulevard with traffic that I complain about. And then I come home, and I have a pregnant wife and two puppies!"
