Prince Charles And Wife Camilla Meet Musical Trio The Priests

February 5, 2009

Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla met musical trio The Priests on a recent trip to Northern Ireland. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall met the singing sensations - who have sold 1.5 million records worldwide - while they were visiting their hometown of Ballyclare, County Antrim.

Camilla reportedly engineered the meeting as she is such a fan of their debut album The Priests, which won a place in the "Guinness Book of Records" after it became the U.K.'s fastest selling classical record.

Fathers Eugene and Martin O'Hagan, brothers aged 48 and 45, and Father David Delargy, 44 were happy to meet the royal couple and sang for them.

On Wednesday, Charles and Camilla visited the Dawoodi Bohra Mosque in Northolt, South east England.

The Shiah Fatemi Ismaili Tayyibi Dawoodi Bohras are a denomination of Islam which have settled in over 40 countries.

They are well known for their contribution to British business, and aim to preserve their Islamic beliefs while still integrating into the countries they have chosen to settle in.
