Prince Charles Met Celebrities During Garden Party

Britain's Prince Charles met a host of celebrities at a garden party Tuesday. The future king and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, held a reception for his charity the Prince's Trust at their Highgrove estate.

Guests included soccer legend Gary Lineker and his new wife Danielle Bux, singers Alesha Dixon and Joss Stone and TV presenters Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton.

Gary and Danielle - who married in Italy six days ago - cut short their honeymoon to attend the bash.

Gary said: "I rushed back from honeymoon as it's not every day you go to Highgrove to meet Prince Charles. Charles and Camilla congratulated us on our wedding. He then said that he loved Italy where we honeymooned."

"I have been a Prince's Trust ambassador for going back 20 years and it is has been a real privilege to be able to meet people who have benefited from the scheme and turned their life around."

Guests lunched on asparagus and pea risotto and a dessert of summer berries with pannacotta as they enjoyed the warm September afternoon.

The party was a thank you from Charles to the celebrities who have taken part in fundraising events for his charity over the past few years.
