Belgium's Prince Edouard de Ligne has married Italian actress Isabella Orsini for the second time. The royal wed "The Blood and the Rose" beauty during a romantic religious ceremony in Antoing, western Belgium at the weekend, three days after they first exchanged vows in an intimate civil ceremony.

The bride carried a bouquet of crimson roses and looked radiant throughout the service in an A-line Gerald Watelet gown and delicate lace jacket.

Her hair was pulled back into a chignon, which was accessorized with an ornate aquamarine crystal and diamond tiara and full white veil.

Isabella - the goddaughter of Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi - was followed by a group of young bridesmaids with rings of rose buds in their hair before releasing a dove to mark the occasion.

The newlyweds were watched by hundreds of locals as they climbed into a horse-drawn carriage and drove to their post-nuptial celebrations.

Isabella - who is now a HH Princess - will shortly move into Edouard's 12th century castle in Antoing.

Edouard is the son of Prince Charles-Antoine Lamoral de Ligne de La Tremoille, the third cousin once removed of Michel, the 14th prince of Ligne.

Michel is the head of the House Of Ligne, which is commonly regarded as the most prestigious Belgian noble family.
