Prince Harry Turns To TV Hypnotist To Help Him Quit Smoking

September 7, 2009

Britain's Prince Harry has turned to a TV hypnotist to help him give up cigarettes. The royal has started reading Paul McKenna's bestselling book "Quit Smoking Now" in a bid to kick the unhealthy habit.

Harry, who once puffed on up to 20 cigarettes a day, began smoking again recently after feeling stressed by his demanding Royal Air Force army helicopter pilot training.

A source told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "He has been feeling the pressure, and as a result he has turned back to cigarettes."

"Harry knows that it doesn't look good to younger people who look up to him. He is really trying to quit."

The book, which claims to help "retrain your mind," was given to Harry by a close friend.

Harry has also been listening to the CD which accompanies the book. The source added: "Paul will be happy to meet Harry if it will help him quit."

Last month, the 24-year-old prince was spotted lighting up at the wedding reception of his pal Nicholas van Cutsem.

It is believed Harry has smoked on and off since he was 14.

Other stars believed to have been treated by Paul include movie director Guy Ritchie and Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood.
