Professional surfer Lisa Andersen, who won four consecutive World Championship titles from 1994-1997, married her fiancé Tim Shannon. The couple tied the knot on May 21.
Andersen, 39, wed Shannon, an amateur surfer, in a private ceremony at an undisclosed location.
According to People.com, the couple announced their engagement in 2007 at the annual Roxy Pro surf competition at Sunset Beach, Hawaii, saying they planned to marry at a "secret spot."
In 1992, Andersen became the first ROXY-sponsored athlete. She withdrew from the sport after a severe back problem, but came back in 2000 to win the Billabong Pro in France.
Next up for Andersen: coaching the U.S. surf team for this year's X Games in Puerto Escondido, Mexico.
