The Pussycat Dolls are not breaking up. In fact, despite the rumors which hit blogs and entertainment news agencies everywhere, the "When I Grow Up" singers are working on a new album. The group's creator Robin Antin took to her Twitter to shoot down the latest rumors on the popular girl group. "The Pussycat Dolls r NOT breaking up.... & IF they ever were, u would hear it from ME 1st, NOT GOSSIP," Antin wrote on the social network. "Album #3 on the way!" The rumors began when the Daily Mail reported that member Ashley Roberts tearfully told fans their visit there would be their last as a group. A Pussycat Dolls spokesman denied it. Tensions began flying after the release of their latest single, "Hush Hush," was promoted as being performed by "The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger," and not just "The Pussycat Dolls," fueling rumors that even the group's management were preparing for Scherzinger's transition to a solo artist. Member Melody Thornton made her feelings known during a performance while opening for Britney Spears. "I want to give a shout out to my family. Thank you for supporting me...even though I'm not featured," she told the crowd of thousands. Member Kimberly Wyatt also reportedly told The Sun, "There has always been a lot of focus on Nicole which has been hard to deal with sometimes." But the group isn't parting ways according to Doll-maker Antin. The group is working on their third album, the follow-up to 2008's "Doll Domination" which has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. |
