Queen Latifah, star of movies such as "The Secret Life of Bees" and "Last Holiday," didn't have a very good holiday on the Caribbean island of Tobago. While staying at the luxurious island resort, jewelry was stolen from her villa.
E! News is reporting that the Oscar-nominated, Grammy-winning star had thousands of dollars worth of baubles taken from her luxury villa where she was staying during the Christmas holidays.
A staff member at Stone Haven Villas, a resort in Black Rock, Tobago, said Latifah had been staying in a three-bedroom villa with a family member. The items taken did not belong to the actress, but to her companion.
Latifah, whose real name is Dana Owens, checked into Stone Haven under the fake name Cynthia Hadden. Despite her desire to stay anonymous, management at Stone Haven threw Latifah a private barbecue brunch. Upon returning to her villa she discovered the jewelry was missing. The jewels reportedly included a $10,000 bracelet, two gold rings, a gold chain and a silver ring.
