Red Hot Chili Pepper's Flea Sells Malibu Mansion For $13 Million

June 5, 2009

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Michael "Flea" Balzary is selling his bluff-top Malibu oceanfront property for $13,676,000.

L.A. Times reports that the 2-acre house was purchased by Flea in 2006 for $9.98 million. The property has soaring ceilings, open floor plan, walls of glass, four bathrooms, and a private access to the beach.

The outdoor features include a staircase to the beach, two separate guest homes, two garages, and a private spa terrace.

Sherri Rogers and Konstantine Valissarakos of Sotheby's International Realty, Los Feliz, handles the listing.

Flea had lost another Malibu home in 2007. His $10.5 million mansion had "burnt to a crisp" when a fierce wildfire destroyed more around 50 homes in an exclusive Malibu beach side community.
